School Mental Health & Psychosocial Support
At Afromothers, we believe that healthy learning begins with healthy minds and healthy relationships. We recognize that many learners face emotional distress stemming not just from academic pressure, but from complex relationship conflicts with peers, teachers, and family members. Our MHPSS Program partners with schools to create safe, supportive, and emotionally responsive environments where every learner feels protected, understood, and empowered to thrive. To date, we have brought these vital interventions to over 1,000 schools.

Our Impact
By integrating mental health into the school system, we achieve improved emotional well-being and coping skills among learners. We foster healthier environments through reduced relationship conflicts and improved peer interactions. Our programs lead to increased help-seeking behavior, the reduction of mental health stigma, and the early identification of at-risk students. Ultimately, we create safer, more emotionally supportive school environments where children can flourish.
